Black Hair Care Guide

Black women have special needs when it comes to hair care.  That is a well known fact. But, Black women also have special needs when it comes to their makeup.  Black Opal Cosmetics produces make up and face care products for women of color.  African American makeup can be difficult to find in many communities.  Because of their skin tones, Black women who try to use makeup designed for women with lighter skin tones will often find the makeup simply does not match properly.  Often it will leave their skin looking gray or ashen.

Black Opal Cosmetics is the brainchild of Dr. Cheryl Burgess, an African-American dermatologist.  While the products can be used by non-African-Americans, they are designed with the special needs of African-Americans and other people of color in mind.

Black Opal Cosmetics is available in many stores.  But, it is also available on-line for women who can’t find it locally.  Many times women might be able to find a portion of the Black Opal line but not the entire line or their favorite shade of lipstick or foundation.
